Obituary of Loren Jason VerValen
Loren Jason VerValen, a victim of homicide, died December 22, 2018 in Olympia, Washington. He was 45 years old. Loren was born February 14, 1973 to Linda and Leroy VerValen in Aberdeen, Washington. He graduated from Hoquiam High School and was an auto mechanic by trade. He was soft-hearted, helpful, and could be stubborn at times, with a mischievous look in his eye. He loved motorcycles, quads, and working on all kinds of vehicles
Loren is survived by his mother, Linda Cole of Olympia; daughter, Amber Linderman of Olympia; brothers, Leonard VerValen of Aberdeen and Lance VerValen of Hoquiam; and sister, Leah McKenzie of Olympia. He was predeceased by his father, Leroy VerValen.
Loren loved his daughter, Amber, with everything he had. He was so proud of her and her accomplishments, and always told everyone just how proud he was.
Loren loved working on something, whether it was building quads, or working on an engine from something he had picked up, to remodeling something in his home. He was in the process of remodeling his bathroom when he died. He always was doing or planning something. He was also the one you called if you were broken down somewhere; he would show up to get you going again, or lend you a vehicle to get to work.
