Lorraine (Mobray) Trask posted a condolence

I knew Shari since grade school and we were friends all through school and I was in her wedding to Richard. She was the nicest person and I always enjoyed talking with her. I didn't see her for several years but she came to my surprise 60th birthday party and she looked exactly like she did in high school. The funny part about us being friends is that her mother and my mother were very good friends as well.
Even though I did not see her often, she will be greatly missed. A beautiful woman with an incredible heart. Love you Shari,
Lorraine

I have been friends with Shari since grade school in Hoquiam, WA. We were friends with Lorraine Mobray and we three spent many happy times at the Mobray home. We graduated from hi school together, I went to her wedding and saw her occasionally as we lived in Thurston County. I remember Shari's smile and friendly, easy going personality...oh, and her giggle! RIP Shari

Shari and I attended school together and both graduated with Hoquiam High School Class of 1969. In recent years our classmates have renewed acquaintances and met for monthly dinner meetings mostly in the Olympia area. Shari was just as lovely a gal - now almost 50 years later as she was when we were in school. We are heart broken to learn of her passing. Gone too soon, but never forgotten.

I worked with Shari at NTHS. I was the deaf education teacher and she was an interpreter on our team. I will remember Shari the most for her generous spirit. She was always bringing in small treats for students and staff. She always made sure we had graduation parties for students. You just knew that she enjoyed working with our deaf students.
I will miss chatting with her about Beau and my crazy pup. We shared a lot of laughs.

What a lovely person Shari was. I was lucky enough to have worked with Shari at North Thurston High School where I teach school and she interpreted for one of my students. Shari had a boundless capacity for kindness, and the care and energy she put into each of her students was remarkable. Shari and I were both active in the Union, so were often at Union business together. She always had a smile on her face and a positive outlook-I cannot remember a time when she did not work to make the day better. Know that you are missed, Shari, and that you will be remembered lovingly.

Lighting a candle for Shari and her family. I knew her for many years and worked as an interpreter with her. She had a nurturing soul with the students and always wanted the best for them.

I remember Sharilyn from NTHS. She helped me learn sign language. She was very nice. I’m not sure how she passed but it seems she was too young. RIP ❤️

Sheri, was an amazing sweet lady! I met her during my teen years in high school where she worked as an interpreter. I lost touch with her after graduating, but reconnected when my son had her as an interpreter in his elementary years. We even have a wonderful picture of their biking trip together. She is truly missed!

I knew Shari in late 1980's when she was sign language interpreter at high school. She was always kind and supportive. I remember meeting her two sons briefly when they were kids. I wish them well during this hard time.

Even though I lost touch with Shari in recent years, she and I were friends many years ago. She was such a kind and caring person---I wanted to get to know her better but after she moved away from our neighborhood we never managed to reconnect. I have been thinking of Shari and her family ever since I read about her death in the newspaper. I would like to honor her in some way, either by attending a memorial or donating money to a favorite charity.
