Obituary of Jack Dorrell Robertson

Jack Dorrell Robertson, 89, passed away November 28, 2018 in Olympia, Wash.  He was born January 9, 1929 to Lee and Sadie Robertson in Winchester, Kansas.  He married “Billie” Morton in September 1947 in Kansas.  He was remarried on November 23, 1956 to Virginia Knutz in Olympia. He was a 62-year resident of Littlerock, Wash.

 

Professionally, Jack processed floral greens and was a beekeeper.  He sold honey at the Olympia Farmer’s Market for 21 years. Known for his gardening and love of nature, Jack was happiest when in the great outdoors.  He would always say, “I did it my way!”

 

Jack is survived by his wife, Virginia (Knutz) Robertson; sons, Terry Robertson of Shelton, Wash. and Jack Robertson Jr. of Centralia, Wash.; daughters, Wanda Lindsay of Blue Rapids, Kansas, and Jodee Robertson of Silvercreek, Wash.; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brother, Ray Robertson; and sisters, Hazel Lockhart and Pat Warbritton.  He was predeceased by his parents; sisters, Helen and Betty; and brothers, Homer, Gene, Mick and Jimmy.

 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Donations in Jack’s honor may be made to a charity of your choice.
