Obituary of Lois Marie Lucas

Lois Marie Lucas passed away October 18, 2018 in Olympia, Washington.  She was born May 2, 1937 to Floyd and Ivy Elenore (Cain) Lucas in Little Fork, Minnesota.  A 20-year resident of Olympia, she also lived in Riverside, California and Helena, Montana.

Lois graduated high school from Auburn Adventist Academy in 1955.  She married Maurice Kraut in 1976.  Professionally, she was a bank teller, waitress, restaurant manager, homemaker and mother.

Lois enjoyed her flowers and garden. Her greatest love was her children; her grandchildren were her absolute pride and joy.  Tough love was never part of Lois’ vocabulary.  Her love was unconditional, and she was always forgiving.

Lois loved Jesus and singing his praises.  She would share Jesus with anyone who would listen.  She was a Sermon in Shoes. She also was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church her entire life.

Lois was only 4’11” but had the strength to overcome anything she set her mind to.  She was a firecracker, and loved by many.

Lois is survived by her ex-husband, Maurice Kraut of Helena, Montana; sons, Robert Milsten and wife Sandra of East Helena, Montana, and Floyd Daryl Milsten of Lacey, Washington; daughter, Kimberly M. Simpson; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and brother, Leonard Lucas. She was predeceased by her son, David Loren Milsten; parents; and brother, Dale Lucas.
