Obituary of Jordan Douglas Beard Sr.

Jordan Douglas Beard Sr., 41, passed away on October 2, 2018 in Olympia, Washington where he was born on April 12, 1977. He is survived by daughters, Sydney and Sadie; son, Jordan Jr.; parents, Steve and Debbie (Wertz) Beard; siblings, Josh, Jake, Justin, Jessi, Amy, Deena, and Jamie; numerous nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children, Cassandra Desrosier.

First and foremost, Jordan was a dedicated family man, living life for his kids.  His favorite place to be was in the stands. You could spot him from across the football field with a big smile on his face, pointing to the girls cheering or his son making a play.  He loved his kids more than anything and was so proud of the young adults they have become.  When he wasn’t helping a friend in need or making a big Sunday morning breakfast, he was fishing with his friends or watching the Seahawks.

Jordan provided for his family by doing a job he loved at Washington Water.  Many benefitted from the skills he learned there.  Whether you had plumbing, electrical or any home maintenance issues, you probably had Jordan on speed dial.  If he had the ability to help you, he didn’t hesitate.

Jordan was considered many things to many people: father, son, brother, and best friend.  He will be deeply missed and leaves a legacy of love in his wake.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, October 14, 2018, 12:00 p.m. at the Lacey Community Center.
