Obituary of T. Carson Robbins
Carson Robbins, 89, passed away September 22, 2018 in Olympia, Washington, his home of 58 years. He was born December 11, 1928 to Andrew Lawrence and Nottie (Price) Robbins in Sparta, Tennessee.
Carson was a 16-year-old student at Holston Valley High School when he joined the U.S. Army in June 1945. He served in China (1946-1948), Germany (1951-1960), Korea (1964-1965), and was reassigned to Ft. Carson, Colorado until his retirement on September 30, 1966. He earned his GED while in the Army. After retiring from military service, Carson started work for the State of Washington SPI on December 13, 1966. He began as a clerk and retired January 1, 1989 as office manager.
Carson married Madelaine Haleth on August 4, 1955 in Kaiserslautern, Germany. His favorite pastime was fishing.
He is survived by his brother, Howard Robbins of Bluff City, Tennessee. He is predeceased by his wife; his parents; four brothers; and three sisters.
Services will be held Monday, October 8, 2018 at South Sound Manor, 445 North St. SE, Tumwater, WA 98501. Viewing will be at 10:00 a.m. and service 11 a.m.
