Obituary of James W. Goodwin

James W. Goodwin, 62, passed away of cancer on September 12, 2018 in Olympia, Washington.  He was born July 23, 1956 to William F. and Sue Ann Goodwin.  James married June Charvat on April 23, 1980 in San Diego, California.

He retired from the U.S. Navy after 24 years of service, where he was a diver for 20 years. He then worked for the Department of Corrections for 19 years. 

James was a character with a definite sense of humor. He loved riding his motorcycle, TAZ, and enjoyed flying kites by the ocean.

A fantastic husband, father, grandfather, and brother, he is survived by his wife, June; sons, Druen of Zion Grove, Pennsylvania, and Will of Oneonta, New York; daughters, Heather of Ashland, Pennsylvania, Aimee of Tumwater, Washington, and Cassie of Ashland, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother, Mike Goodwin of Lancaster, California; and sister, Lorna Anderson of Valencia, California.  He was predeceased by his parents.
