Emery "Steve" Eperjesi, 84, passed away September 3, 2018 in Olympia, Washington, his home for over 25 years. He was born December 10, 1933, to Emery Eperjesi Sr. and Mary Drabant Eperjesi in Youngstown, Ohio. He also lived in Long Beach, California.
Steve graduated from South High School, Youngstown, class of 1952. He was proud of his three-year service in the U.S. Army. He married Geraldine Lynn "Libbey" Hubbard on December 9, 1970, at the Chapel by the Sun in Long Beach. He was a locksmith for many years in California and Washington, and developed many friends through his business. He was an outdoorsman and loved to fish. He also loved to watch Seattle sports.
Steve is survived by his brother, Joseph Eperjesi (Kay) of Boardman, Ohio; nephews, Dr. Joseph Malleske (Glynda) of Huntsville, Texas, and Joseph Eperjesi Jr. of Boardman Ohio; nieces, Karen Logeman (Dr. Jay) of Loveland, Ohio, Diane Thomas (Bill) of Brunswick, Ohio, Lori Readinger (Bill) of Olmsted Falls, Ohio; and several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Geri Eperjesi; parents, Mary and Emery Eperjesi; and sisters, Mary Eperjesi and Helen Malleske.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St., Kent, WA 98042.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local VFW or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
