My relationship with Frank began when I joined the prosecutor's office in the late 70's and continued after I left to become a defense attorney. Frank was a very insightful and level-headed professional who always seemed to know the right path to take in each case. You were a good one, Frank. Sad to see you go.

I was sorry to hear of Frank's passing. While I most often practiced on the "other side" of the law, Frank was, always, one of the good guys. Over the years we occasionally opposed each other, often laughed together and hopefully shared mutual respect for each other. I will miss him.
My best to all in Frank's family and circle of friends. I wish peace for you all and a quick journey to where your memories of his life bring smiles rather than sadness.

Frank was my good friend since he joined the Prosecutor's office in 1971. My family and his shared food, company, and good times and bad. He was a valued workmate, golfing buddy, and fishing friend. Frank never tired of bragging about his children and grandchildren. When Erick died, it was a huge blow, but he met it with good spirits. In one of our last conversations, he told me he was looking forward to seeing Erick again. During all of his trials with illness, Frank kept upbeat. He would bounce back with a spring in his step and a smile in his voice. He had a sly and wry sense of humor, which was one reason we got on so well, as I shared that. One story I will never forget is when Frank was at the TNET drug group. One of our friends decided to trick him by putting gravel in one hubcap. When Frank got back to the office, he told everyone how a hubcap had flown off and hit another car and someone called demanding payment for a window. At a training conference in Olympia, Frank was presented with a mounted hubcap and a check. It was then he announced that he had heard the noise, stopped, and a friend of his had made the pretend call.

God Bless you Frank Loomis. You are wise, witty and wonderful and I am so thankful I was lucky enough to be included in your life. I will miss our chats and our checking in on each other and comparing notes about our bumps along the way. Your strength through hardships has been an inspiration to me...always done with courage and a bit of humor. To Nancy, and Jenny and your family, how blessed you were to have such a wonderful man in your life. Thank you for sharing him.
Our love and sympathy
