Obituary of Leslie J. Mairs

On August 28, 2018, heaven whistled for Leslie J. Mairs to come home.  She was 80 years old and passed at her daughter’s residence in Tacoma, Washington. Leslie was born in Montreal, Canada to Gilbert and Elsie Hanson, and grew up in Waterloo, Quebec, Canada.  She resided in Ohio and Michigan before moving to Lacey in 1971.

Leslie worked for the State of Washington Attorney General’s Office, Tort Claims for over 25 years.  She enjoyed cooking, needlepoint, watching figure skating and tennis, and time with family.

She is survived by daughters, Tracy Gregorius (Mark), Diane Anderson (Dan); and son, Robin Mairs (Shannon); nine grandchildren, Matt and Scott Gagnon, Ryan Mairs, Megan Briggs, Kaylin Canino, Jenna Amsbury, Missy Gregorius, Katie Pickett, Blake Wilson; five great grandchildren, Kamdyn, Kinley, Brooke, Hunter and Ollie; and her sisters, Carol Smith (England) and Naomi Hanson (Canada).
