Obituary of Vicki R. Holmes

Vicki R. Holmes, 56, passed away of a stroke on July 23, 2018 in Olympia, Washington.  She was born October 19, 1961 to Harry V. “Bo” Holmes and Joy L. (Meyers) Holmes in Columbus, Ohio.  A resident of Yelm, Washington the past four years, she also lived in Grove City, Ohio for 50+ years.

Vicki was a 1979 graduate of Grove City High School, and earned an Associates’ Degree (Administrative Medical Assistant) from Everest Institute. She worked for Harris Rebar, AAA, Arby’s, Xerox, and Teleperformance. 

Vicki was caring, hardworking and generous.  She loved quilting, cooking, Ohio State University football, koala bears, classic cars, and quality time with family and friends.  She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Yelm Post 5580, where she held the position of Post Chaplain.

She is survived by her brother, Jeffrey S. Holmes (Major, U.S. Army retired) of Yelm, and his family (wife, Kimberly, and sons, Celtan, Conlan, and Rylan).  She was predeceased by her parents; and grandparents, Hazel and Paul Kiser.
