Obituary of Henry Warren Nimmer

Henry Warren Nimmer was born February 7, 1928 to Thelma and Henry E. Nimmer in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where he later graduated from Oshkosh High School.  He passed away at age 90 on July 29, 2018 in Lacey, Washington, his home from 2016 to 2018.  He also lived in Tenino (1996-2016) and Olympia (1966-1996).

 

Henry joined the U.S. Army in 1946 as a Military Policeman. He served 20 years, one month, and three days of active service, retiring on December 31, 1966.  He then worked 20 years as a security guard for the Federal Reserve Bank.

 

He married Anita Sommer on April 23, 1952 in Berlin Germany.

 

Henry loved to hunt, fish, camp and travel.  He enjoyed working in his shop and loading his own ammunition.  He was a member of the NRA, lifetime member of Ducks Unlimited, and attended Turning Point Church.

 

He is survived by his wife, Anita Nimmer; and daughter, Juliana Trujillo.
