Obituary of Brenda Lee Rodriguez

Brenda Lee Rodriguez, 62, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on July 26, 2018, in Olympia, Washington, succumbing to the effects of cancer.

Brenda grew up in Ontario, California, as the youngest child of Manuel and Susana (Flores) Rodriguez. She is survived by four of her six siblings: Oscar Rodriguez, Olivia (Warren) Geiger, Victor (Maggie) Rodriguez, and Manuel (Marsha) Rodriguez. Brenda’s passing was preceded by the passing of her two sisters, Julie (Scotty) Kuntze and Eleanore Davis.

She is remembered by her loved ones mostly for her friendship and advice, being always there to lend an ear, her time, and her wisdom to all who asked for it. She loved to travel. She was a hard worker. She was opinionated and hot tempered, while being the best listener and the most caring person. She admired the attitude of Snoopy, Kermit and Miss Piggy. She enjoyed Monty Python movies, watching professional tennis, gardening, cooking, and caring for animals. She was an expert on The Kennedys, the JFK assassination, The Beatles, and Janis Joplin.

It’s impossible to say it all… so to conclude, here are the rest of her loved ones who will miss her so much. She was “Aunt Brenda" to Scott (Kim) Kuntze, John (Debbie) Kuntze, Karamia (Jack) Schulman, Kimberly (Glenn) Rowlands, Angela (Bob) Berry, Donald Rodriguez, Angela Rodriguez, Eric Rodriguez, Susan Rodriguez, Brent Geiger, and Geodi Wood.

She was “Great-Aunt Brenda” to Ksandra Spencer, Jyssica Van Gilson, Ellen (Tony Coleman) Medina, Jamie Van Gilson, Kyle Kuntze, Rebecca Van Gilson, Alyssa Medina, CJ Kuntze, Robert Kaleb Williams, Andrew Williams, Ben Williams.

She was “Great-Great Aunt Brenda” to Kristen Lefebvre and Ivy Lyssa Coleman.

Her extended family of friends is quite lengthy but here are a few: Deborah Allen (Philip) Bok, Christine (Robert) Williams, Jennifer Huthmacher, Dino (Jeff) Maglaras, Eleanor (Jim) Rooney, Katherine Aguirre, Bob Woodhead, June Nelson, The Sepkos, and The Gifford Girls.

There will be no official service for us to honor Brenda, per her request. She’d probably be super happy with you if, in her memory, you donated funds or time to an organization that helps animals, such as the Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at http://www.nevadaspca.org/how-you-can-help/donate
