Obituary of Wade Hislop

Wade Hislop passed away July 15, 2018 at Providence St. Peter Hospital.  He was born June 19, 1979 in Olympia to Chuck and Donna Hislop.  Wade lived in Tumwater for 17 years and graduated from Tumwater High School in 1998. He moved to MacIntosh Lake in Tenino in 1997.

Wade was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Fielden and Billie Miller from Pe Ell, Washington; grandpa was his, “best bud.” He is survived by his mother, Donna Miller of Tenino; father, Chuck (Janine) Hislop of Chehalis; stepbrother, Brandon Edinger of Olympia; stepsister, Kristen Craig of Centralia; aunt and uncle, Ken and Pat Miller of Dryad; cousins, Pete (Renee) McGhee, Kelly (Kelly) Crawford, Ronna McGhee, and Heather (Brendan) Grutz; seven second cousins, Zachery, Megan, Katie, Morgan, Lauren and Lainey; and numerous aunts, uncles and extended family.

Wade loved NASCAR racing with “Pappy” Welch and the number “45” car. Wade was an excellent clam digger – sometimes with a clam gun in each hand.  He liked to fish and hunt, joke and tease.  He loved his dogs, Diesel and Tank. He was a big guy and a protector of women…they just LOVED him.

Wade was a wonderful son.
