I hadn't seen my cousin Joey since we were kids. I fondly remember him as fun-loving, and always with a big smile on his face. When I was able to make it to Minnesota to visit extended family, I would often hear about Joey's heart for his family. My heart goes out to all of you in the loss of your husband, father, son, and brother.

JOEY
So long my friend. We will miss you to the end. Your gone too soon, from our lives, that smile you gave, always reached the eyes. The hugs you shared, made us feel safe, the memories you gave, never to be erased, from our hearts or minds, you were always so very truly kind. That you are gone, still baffles the mind.
You never judged and accepted our flaws, the love you gave, effected us all. The love of your family, your wife, and sons, gave us hope that true love, could be won. A true love story and uplifting to behold, gave us a glimpse, of some of the values you hold.
I feel inept to write of your praise, for the man you are, was so full of grace. Thank you for holding a place in our lives, and I pray, and will forever hold onto, that this is, a see you soon my friend, and not a true goodbye.
Rest in peace until then, my dear amazing wonderful friend.

I remember working with Jenny at IHOP and the way her face would light up whenever her husband would stop by on his motorcycle. There was something about the way they looked at one another that was beautiful and loving. My love goes out to you all now.

I first met Joey when I first went to the 160th SOAR in 1999. I went to C/1 and Joey was in D/1 when each company had both DAPS and Slicks. I was sent down to D/1 to find a “special” DAP tool, still can’t believe I fell for that, but Joey was in the shop and when I asked for said tool he hustled busted out laughing, I knew then that “tool” did not exist. After 9/11 happened, Task Force made the decision to go back to the original configuration of all DAPS in C/1 and all Slicks In D/1. Obviously we needed more personnel in C/1 to maintain all the DAPS so personnel were moved from D/1 to C/1, and Joey was one of those. It was nothing but good times from there on out with Joey. A man who never got upset, never argue with being told to do something even though he would later disagree with, but ALWAYS smiling and joking. I miss you my friend. You were one of few that had the electric horse patch and for that, you were respected more than you know my friend. May you Rest In Peace my brother. NSDQ

Our family had the privilege of being neighbors with Joey and Jen. Joey was always a willing hand and encouragement through my husband’s deployments. Starting my lawnmower became routine and he never had anything but a smile, and enjoyed the baked repayments. He will be sorely missed. My love to you Jen, my prayers are with you.
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

I loved Joey. This guy had one of the biggest hearts I know. It is no wonder that he has so many that love him. It is a great loss to lose such a man.
I know how hard of time I have had to cope with his passing. You family must be devastated. But, I will say, if his family is anything like Joey, then we still are blessed to have you with us.
Bless you... big hugs.

Special thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.
No doubt, Joey is preparing our LZ— N.S.D.Q!

Joey was my fellow electrician. Teammate. I met him in 2009 when I joined the contract field team. He was such a great guy to be around. Also, watching him mentor some of the young soldiers as well as learning a few new tricks from him really made me realize how amazing a person he truly was. Always smiling and hugs all around. If you were having a bad day and Joey was nearby, he could definitely make that frown turn upside down. I still see some small things around the hangar that had his personal touch. He definitely left his mark on all of us and I know I will miss him laughing and dancing, that dude sure had some moves! He lives in forever in our hearts and minds. Till Valhalla Brother!

Joey was like one of my own children: he spent a lot of time at our house as did most of the kids from Denfeld High School. Joey was one in a million. He could always make you smile, make you happy. He had a way of turning a gray gloomy day into a very sunny afternoon. He always called me his second mama. I will miss Joey a lot and miss his little messages to me but he'll be in heaven with Papa Bill keeping each other company. May God bless Jeny and the rest of the family and keep them safe.

Joey would always support my section when we had our chicken plate sales. Always my first customer and it was a treat shooting the sh*t with him on other days. Attitude goes a long way is the special operations community and he had a awesome attitude and great stories by the buckets. Joey was an old time Night Stalker who knows everybody. Hearing of his passing broke me down.
We will miss him badly. #NSDQ
