Obituary of Chito Abellera Blangue

Chito Abellera Blangue, Sr. was born May 4, 1923, to Domingo and Encarnacion Balangao in Binalonam Pangasian, Philippines. He passed away November 5, 2014. He grew up and received his Bachelor degrees in Architecture and Engineering Management in Baguio City and Manila, respectively. He worked the longest for the U.S. Federal Government under OICC (Officer-in-Charge Construction Consultants). He retired from the government and worked as the magistrate and as a school district employee of Barrow, Alaska. He traveled to several countries, other than Philippines, including Guam, Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Hawaii, Iran and Saudi Arabia. He has been a member of the American Legion. Chito is survived by his wife, Hoa Luu; sons, Chito E. Balangao, Jr. and Chito Balangue, IV; daughters, Fe B. Hermoso, Eleanor deLeon, and Phoung Luu; brothers, Joven, Arthur, Domingo, Jr. and Pete Balangue; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Bert, Valeriano and Benjamin Balangue. Please leave memories of Chito or condolences for his family in the Guestbook below.
